At Potentia, we believe in the power of connection, collaboration, and empowerment.

We are thrilled to launch a networking group exclusively designed for women in finance, where we foster a community that champions diversity, equity, and inclusion across finance roles within industry. 

We are privileged to join the other organisations committed to driving the structural change required to get more women into finance leadership roles. Our aim is not to compete but to offer our members a curated group where they have access to mentoring, valuable content and a community.

Our purpose is to empower women in finance and increase their representation within the finance org. We are committed to creating a future where women have equal opportunities to lead and shape the highest levels of corporate governance. We are creating a supportive community that encourages collaboration, networking, and professional development opportunities for women in finance.

Our Vision

Our vision is a finance sector where women participate on a level playing field, are equally represented, their voices equally heard, and where the structures and systems reflect the needs and priorities of women as well as men.

Our Mission

To increase female representation on boards and impact the number of women in CFO positions within the FTSE 350 to 50% by 2030.

Our Goals

Networking and Collaboration

We will foster a vibrant and supportive network for female finance professionals to connect, collaborate, and share experiences. We will organise networking events, panel discussions, and mentorship programs to facilitate meaningful connections and foster mentor-mentee relationships within our community.

Advocacy and Awareness

We will actively advocate for gender equality and raise awareness about the importance of female representation in finance. We will engage in public discussions, collaborate with industry stakeholders, and promote best practices that support the advancement of women in the finance industry.

Increase Female Representation

We aim to actively contribute to increasing the representation of women on FTSE listed boards. By engaging in targeted initiatives and partnering with relevant organisations, we will strive to improve current statistics and promote gender diversity in top-level finance positions.  

Breaking Barriers

We are committed to breaking through existing boundaries and challenging gender stereotypes within the finance industry. We will collaborate with organisations and thought leaders to drive systemic changes, address biases, and create an inclusive environment that values and supports the contributions of women.

Our networking events are carefully designed to facilitate meaningful connections between women in finance and discuss key challenges to create actionable solutions and share these with our community. Our diverse community of talented professionals are here to help you expand your network and thrive through quarterly events, mentoring and coaching. 

Member-Led Discussions

Potentia places a strong emphasis on member-led discussions, our networking events revolve around the key challenges our members face in their professional lives. Through open and honest conversations, we share insights, strategies, and personal experiences to collectively overcome these obstacles. Together, we form a powerful support network that inspires and propels one another toward success. 

Mentoring

We believe in the power of mentorship and the transformative impact it can have on one's career trajectory. Our mentoring program pairs experienced women leaders in finance with emerging talent, providing valuable guidance, advice, and support. Through these mentor-mentee relationships, we foster personal and professional growth, offering a safe space to share experiences, knowledge, and insights.
